Alex: *still beating himself up* I'm an idiot in so many ways...what is wrong with me?
*Sebastian approaches*
Sebastian: Alex, can I speak to you?
Alex: Oh...yeah, sure.
Sebastian: About the last time we spoke...
Alex: *interrupts* Yeah, about that...the more I think about it the more unfair it seems to me that you would expect me to make that kind of promise!
Sebastian: That is just what I wish to speak to you about. You are correct, it was wrong of me. Please forgive me.
Alex: Oh. Okay.
Sebastian: If you should ever feel inclined to pursue Madison in the future, I won't stop you. All I ask is that you are careful with her...and, of course, that you treat her right.
Alex: Well, yeah, I wouldn't expect you to expect less than that. Thanks, dude.
Sebastian: So...I know it is not really my concern but are you going to pursue her?
Alex: *suspicious* Is this a trick question?
Sebastian: Not at all.
Alex: Well...gee, I don't know. I would kind of like to, but...well, I asked her out before and she turned me down.
Sebastian: I did not know that.
Alex: Yeah, it was a while ago. It might be too much to hope that she's changed her mind. I don't know if I want to get rejected again.
Sebastian: May I offer you a small bit of advice?
Alex: Sure.
Sebastian: You will never know if you do not try...
