Tanith: He's in love with you? Wow...
Paige: I was so shocked when he told me...I just didn't see it coming at all.
Tanith: *speechless*
Paige: But I'm sure it won't last. After I got over my shock I took the chance to chew him out.
Tanith: Uh oh...
Paige: And at first I was so pleased with myself for putting him in his place. Then I had doubts...and then Madison brought me a letter from Sebastian.
Tanith: He wrote you a letter? What did it say?
Paige: *tells Tanith about the letter*
Paige: I was so angry at him at first after reading the letter, but... *shakes head*
Tanith: But what?
Paige: I reread the letter over and over until I started to second guess everything I said to him.
Tanith: Really?
Paige: Yes! I have to admit that I've been wrong about him...and I hate being wrong.
Tanith: You're only human...or half human anyway. Doesn't it bother you how he feels about fairies?
Paige: At first it did, but not anymore. Most fairies annoy me beyond belief, that IS why I spend my time around humans instead. How can I fault him for agreeing with me?
Tanith: So he was right about you?
Paige: *sigh* Yes.
Tanith: So what are you going to do now?
Paige: There's nothing I can do! He's gone. I just hate myself right now. What is the point of being hundreds of years old if I never learn anything?
Tanith: Don't be so hard on yourself, there is still a chance you might be able to work things out.
Paige: I've been terribly unfair, he probably hates me now. At least I've learned one thing--never trust first impressions!
Elsewhere...
Alex: Damn that Sebastian! I wasn't even thinking of Madison until he brought it up and now I can't stop thinking about her.
Alex: Then I stupidly promised him I wouldn't ask her out...damn him again, why did I do that? *beats himself up mentally*
Alex: *sigh* It probably doesn't matter anyway. She already turned me down once...she's probably still not interested. *defeated*
*Madison enters*
Madison: Hi, Alex.
Alex: Oh...uh...hi, Madison. *extremely agitated*
Madison: *unsure* Um, how are you?
Alex: Um...I'm okay. Listen, I gotta go. *runs off*
Madison: *???* What did I do?
