Rayna: *write, write, write*...*sigh*
*Jonas enters*
Rayna: *looks up* Oh, hi.
Jonas: *uncomfortable* Oh...hi. Um, sorry...I'll leave you alone. *starts to leave*
Rayna: Wait, please don't leave!
Jonas: I think I should, your boyfriend probably wouldn't like it if he saw us together.
Rayna: He promised me he was going to apologize to you for overreacting. Didn't he?
Jonas: Er...no.
Rayna: *rolls eyes and sighs* It doesn't matter anyway...we broke up.
*Jonas sits down tentatively*
Jonas: Wow...I'm really sorry.
Rayna: Don't be. Really, it's for the best and I'm okay with it.
Jonas: Your breakup...didn't have anything to do with what happened with me...did it?
Rayna: Don't worry, it was a lot of things and didn't have anything to do with you.
Jonas: Then...is it okay if I stay?
Rayna: Of course, I'd like the company.
*They smile at each other*
Elsewhere...
Madison: Did you hear? Alex and Rayna broke up. Isn't that terrible?
Sebastian: *looking elsewhere*
Madison: Sebastian, are you listening? You are so distracted today!
Sebastian: What? Did you say something?
Madison: Nevermind, it's obvious your mind is elsewhere. I'm going to see what Sabrina is up to...maybe she'll actually listen to me.
Sebastian: ...oh...okay...have fun...
Madison: *sighs and shakes head, walks away*
Sebastian: What is she doing?
Paige: So, Psychic Butterfly...Flutterfly. Why is it I can understand every other butterfly but you?
Flutterfly: - - -
Paige: Can you understand me?
Flutterfly: - - -
Paige: Somehow I think you can.
Paige: You know, if I work hard enough I think in time I might be able to understand you. Is it okay if I try?
Flutterfly: *nods*
Paige: *smiles* Good! And hey, you can understand me! That's a good start. I don't use my magic very often but this time I think it might help.
Flutterfly: - - -
Paige: Okay, you try, too.
*Paige closes her eyes and concentrates*
Paige: *deep breath* Okay...say something...
Flutterfly: - - -
Paige: Odd. I'd swear you said, "He's coming." But that doesn't make sense...
*Sebastian approaches*
Sebastian: Pardon me, but what were you just doing?
Paige: Oh...uh...well, I was just trying to talk to this butterfly. Normally, I don't need magic to understand them, but this butterfly is very unusual. I was using a little magic to see if it would help.
Sebastian: Did it?
Paige: I'm not sure...I will probably need to try a few more times to know.
Sebastian: You know, I know all kinds of magic but I have never been able to speak to animals of any kind. Would it be too much to ask if you would be willing to teach me this skill?
Paige: I've never tried to teach anyone before but I guess I could try if you really want.
Sebastian: Thank you.
*awkward silence*
Sebastian: I won't trouble you any longer. Until later, ma'am. *nods goodbye*
Paige: Okay...bye.
*Sebastian leaves*
Paige: That was...strange.
